Muscat – Major General Hamed bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies, hosted a delegation from the National Defence University of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at his office in Mu’askar Bait Al Falaj today. The delegation was led by Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, Chairman of the National Defence University.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in friendly discussions, focusing on areas of mutual interest, particularly in the academic and scientific fields.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic and scientific cooperation was signed between the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies and the National Defence University of Pakistan. Major General Hamed bin Ahmed Sakroon signed the agreement on behalf of the Omani Academy, while Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar signed on behalf of the Pakistani institution.

The meeting and the signing of the MoU were attended by senior officers from the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Oman, and the Military Attaché at the Pakistani Embassy in Muscat.
