Muscat – In response to growing demand for air travel, Oman’s low-cost carrier, SalamAir, has placed an order for 10 additional Airbus A320 aircraft from various aircraft leasing companies. The expansion aligns with the airline’s strategic growth targets for the next five years.

The new aircraft will enhance SalamAir’s capacity and support its network expansion plans, catering to increasing passenger demand across regional and international routes. The airline currently operates a fleet of Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, known for their fuel efficiency and operational reliability.

Commenting on the order, SalamAir’s Chief Executive Officer  Adrian Hamilton-Manns highlighted the importance of fleet expansion to strengthen the airline’s market position and improve connectivity. The move is expected to contribute to Oman’s aviation sector by boosting tourism and business travel.

SalamAir has been steadily increasing its presence in key markets, offering affordable travel options while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and sustainability. The additional aircraft will allow the airline to introduce new destinations and increase frequency on existing routes.
