As the country continues to establish itself as a premier destination for international events, the conversation has now turned to what’s next. What other kinds of events should Oman host and why? International events such as golf tournaments, sustainability summits and cultural festivals are good opportunities to showcase the diverse beauty and progressive vision of our country. The global spotlight is on Oman and it’s the perfect time to host events that appeal to both leisure travellers and business leaders

From the preservation of Omani music and arts to showcasing our culinary heritage, festivals that celebrate traditional craftsmanship, storytelling and music could create a deeper connection between Oman and the world. These events would not only attract tourists but also establish Oman as a centre for the preservation of Arab culture.

Hosting an event like Tour of Oman is just the beginning. I believe Oman could also shine in hosting high-profile international marathons and triathlons, attracting athletes from across the globe to test themselves against the natural beauty of our landscapes.
