Muscat – The 14th edition of Tour of Oman, organised by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in collaboration with Oman Cycling Association, will take place from February 7 to 12.
The prestigious cycling event will bring together 18 international teams, featuring participants from countries such as France, Spain, Belgium, Australia, the Netherlands, the UAE and Kazakhstan.
The event will open with Muscat Classic on February 7, marking the race’s third consecutive year. As a Category 1 event for Asian races, Muscat Classic offers 125 points to the world cycling ranking for the winner. Starting at Al Mouj Muscat, the race will cover 171km, taking cyclists along scenic routes that include the Seeb coastal road, Al Jabal Street in Amerat, and the picturesque villages of Yiti and Qantab before ending at the State Council.
Following Muscat Classic, the main event of Tour of Oman will begin on February 8 spanning five stages, showcasing Oman’s diverse landscapes and iconic landmarks.
Stage 1 on February 8 will begin at Muscat College in Bausher and cover a 170km route before ending at Hawiyat Najm in Quriyat. On February 9, Stage 2 will take riders 203km from Rustaq Fort in South Batinah to Yiti Heights in Muscat. In the final stage on February 12, cyclists will compete over a 139km course from the Imti area in Izki, Dakhliyah to Jabal Akhdar, providing a dramatic finish to the tour.

The line-up includes the Omani national team competing for the fourth year in a row.
This year’s routes have been meticulously planned to highlight Oman’s natural beauty, culture and heritage. Iconic landmarks and tourist attractions are included in the stages, aligning with Oman Vision 2040’s objectives to promote tourism and strengthen the country’s global appeal.
In addition to showcasing Oman on the global stage, the event aims to popularise cycling locally and inspire a healthier, active lifestyle. Tour of Oman 2025 promises an exhilarating experience for participants and spectators, drawing attention to the sultanate’s unique charm and tourism potential.
