Muscat – Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, arrived in Muscat on Sunday evening for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Oman and Belarus.
H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, led the welcoming delegation at Royal Airport, extending a warm reception to Golovchenko and his accompanying officials. H E Sayyid Badr wished the prime minister a successful visit and a pleasant stay in Oman.

H E Hamoud bin Salem al Tuwaih, Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation and Non-Resident to Belarus, underscored the importance of the visit, noting that the two nations share strong ties and cooperation across multiple sectors. “This visit is a significant opportunity to further enhance bilateral relations in fields such as economy, trade, culture, education and investments,” he said.
He added that both countries are eager to build on the progress made in recent years and to explore new avenues of collaboration. “This visit by the Belarusian Prime Minister marks another step towards achieving the shared aspirations of both nations, with ongoing efforts to foster greater cooperation and joint initiatives,” H E Tuwaih said.
