Kathmandu, Nepal – H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
During the meeting, ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations and opening new horizons for cooperation in various fields were discussed.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for developing economic and trade cooperation, especially in the fields of tourism, mining, agriculture and cultural exchange, while stressing the importance of exchanging expertise and encouraging joint investments.
The two officials stressed the need for close cooperation between Oman and Nepal to confront common challenges and promote peace and stability in the world.
In a separate meeting, H E Sayyid Badr met Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal.
The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and identify new opportunities for cooperation across various sectors benefiting both nations.
The two addressed recent regional and international developments of mutual interest. They emphasised the significance of continued collaboration and coordination between the two countries to achieve shared objectives, and promoting peace and development both regionally and globally. The meeting was attended by H E Ambassador Issa bin Saleh al Shaibani, Ambassador of Oman to India and Nepal, along with several officials from both sides.
