Salalah – Talenco Talents and Innovations has announced the winners of the Talenco Hackathon Environmental Competition 2024, held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex in Salalah. The event included workshops, training courses, and a presentation by the Omani Intellectual Property Association.

Seventy-five projects from Oman, Egypt, Iraq, the UAE, and Algeria participated, with 40 reaching the final stage and 17 showcased in an exhibition.

CEO Ahmed bin Khamis Al Ghafri highlighted the platform’s 24,300 verified subscribers, including over 14,000 active participants from Arab countries.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Saif Al Busaidi, Wali of Salalah, honored the supporters, participants, and winning projects. The top projects were ‘Rebactoz Company,’ ‘Using Artificial Intelligence to Detect Palm Bug,’ ‘Effectiveness of Organic Compounds on Aedes aegypti,’ and ‘Bjoplastic.’
