Muscat – The office of the wali of Muttrah convened a meeting on Monday to discuss the development of the Darsait Port project. 

Led by Sheikh Abdul Hamid bin Abdul Rahman al Kharousi, deputy wali of Muttrah, the meeting featured a visual presentation highlighting the project’s comprehensive services and entertainment offerings.

Key elements of the project were reviewed, emphasising benefits for fishermen and visitors alike. These include the establishment of ice factories, boat maintenance workshops, and ample parking facilities.

Additionally, the project will feature a marina and facilities for yacht berths, complemented by an entertainment area tailored for children and various other services.

The meeting, attended by representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, along with the Muscat International Development Company, discussed the broader contributions of the project to the area.

It underscored the project’s commitment to enhancing local infrastructure and tourism, aligning with the strategic development goals of the wilayat.
