Muscat – Oman is set to enhance its healthcare landscape with construction of the Al Namaa Hospital in Mudhaibi, North Sharqiyah, a project valued at RO56.05mn.

The foundation stone of the hospital was laid on Monday under the auspices of H E Sultan bin Salem al Habsi, Minister of Finance, in presence of H E Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health. The 152-bed hospital will be built within 30 months highlighting the government’s commitment to health sector enhancement.

On the occasion, Mahmoud bin Yahya al Dhahli, Governor of North Sharqiyah, noted that the facility will have the latest international medical equipment and deliver top-tier medical services. “The hospital is designed to complement the existing network of health facilities in the governorate, aiming to serve a broad segment of the population effectively.”

Youssef bin Yaqoub Ambu Ali, Advisor to Minister of Health for Engineering Affairs, informed that the 428,000sqm facility is designed to meet global standards. “It will include comprehensive outpatient clinics, emergency services, a radiology department, physical therapy, and specialised units for nephrology and psychiatry, among others.”
