Muscat – Ahmed bin Mohammed al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, made a site visit on Thursday to monitor ongoing development of the Golden Jubilee Walkway project in Seeb.

Spread over 84,400sqm, the project is being developed in the middle of the wilayat close to the vibrant hubs of Mawaleh, Al Hail and Al Khoudh. The project includes recreational elements, areas for picnics and physical activity, a bicycle track and various other facilities.

The project will have 38,250sqm of green spaces, providing a natural environment for outdoor activities. 

‘The project aims to develop modern outlets that serve the community, enhance physical health, and activate social and economic aspects of the community,’ municipality stated.

The civic body added that the project will help spread the culture of sports, stimulate commercial activities and provide a place to hold exhibitions and recreational events.

The project includes a 1,972m pedestrian walkway, a 1,972m bicycle path of 3m width, two sites equipped with equipment for sports, two children’s play areas, and car park for 140 vehicles.
