Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has informed that three people were killed and 15 injured in a road accident in Liwa today.

In a statement, ROP said, ‘Two citizens and one expatriate lost their lives while 15 others sustained injuries in a collision involving a truck and eleven vehicles.’

The police reported that the accident occurred when the truck driver was traveling in the opposite direction of traffic.

‘Investigations are currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this devastating event,’ it stated.
