Muscat – The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MoHERI) has announced a transition to distance learning for all private higher education institutions and vocational colleges on Monday, April 15, due to anticipated heavy rainfall.
In a statement, MHERI said, ‘Due to the weather forecast, the Ministry has decided to implement distance education to mitigate risks posed by adverse weather conditions.’
According to the decision, private higher education institutions and vocational colleges are directed to conduct studies remotely on Monday. Subsequently, institutions have the discretion to determine whether to resume regular classes. This proactive measure aims to prioritise the safety and well-being of students and staff amidst the challenging weather conditions.
