Majees CC, Yalla Shabab, Earn Trust win

Muscat – Majees CC defeated IAS CT by 159 runs in the Premier Division League 2023-24 powered by Muscat Pharmacy LLC at the Oman Cricket Academy Turf 1 on Friday.

Majees CC posted a 273 courtesy of Lakpriya Ravindra’s scintillating 98 and Zeeshan Maqsood’s solid 65. Ubaidullah made 33 with two fours and three sixes. In response, Mohd Akeel top-scored with 52 but IAS were all out for a paltry 114. Md Yousuf took five wickets for nine runs while skipper Aamir Kaleem picked up two.

In another Premier Division match played on Saturday, Yalla Shabab defeated Zawawi Powertech by 62 runs.

Khalid Kail’s magnificent century (131) helped Yalla Shabab post 277. Sanju Sajeev made 52. Shekh Adil Qureshi claimed three wickets while Sivaraj Dheenadhayalu also accounted for three. In response, Powertech were down seven wickets for just 78 but Prabhakaran Kannan’s 64 supported by Sajeev T scoring 41 helped them stitch a 100-run partnership for the 8th wicket taking them to 215, still falling short of the target by 62 runs.

Earn Trust CT beat Al Waad Trad & Cont. in the D Division League 2023-24 powered by Credit Oman.

Al Waad were all out for 130 with Zaheer Khan taking 4 wickets and Sadik Khan claiming three. Syamlal Sasidharan was the top scorer for Al Waad scoring 43. In response, Mustansar Hussain’s 59 helped Earn Trust win by five wickets.

Yalla Shabab 277/6 in 50 overs (Khalid Kail 131(132); Shekh Adil 3/57) beat Zawawi Powertech 215/10 in 48 overs (Prabhakaran Kannan 64(77); Mohd Rafi 4/58) by 62 runs.

Al Waad Trad & Cont. 130/10 in 16.2 overs (Syamlal Sasidharan 43(25); Zaheer Abbas 4/31, Sadik Khan 0/3) lost to Earn Trust CT 134/5 in 16.5 overs (Mustansar Hussain 59(45); Ratheesh P 2/16) by 5 wickets.
