The Otaxi inception was a result of securing second place in the Sas48 Hackathon competition in 2014. The company faced significant challenges in its establishment until it succeeded in emerging as an official transportation app in 2018. The concept of Otaxi revolves around a transportation application that connects taxi drivers with people to provide safe rides to their destinations.

When we hear about Otaxi, the first thing that comes to mind is the regular economical taxi. However, Otaxi doesn’t solely limit itself to this service. It aims to meet the guests’ needs by providing different services. These are the “Van Taxi” service, a large vehicle accommodating up to 7 people, the “Ofemale” service by just Omani female drivers, the “Premium” service which is a VIP service with non-branded cars (Lexus ES350), as well as the “Luxury” service which non branded car (Mercedes and BMW). In these luxury rides, guests receive an 11-star treatment from having well-trained English-speaking drivers, snacks, wifi, and much more!
