Muscat – The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) on Tuesday opened a Tourism Information hub in the Wilayat of Muttrah in Muscat Governorate.

A statement issued by MHT said, ‘The inaugurated Tourism Information hub in Muttrah will contribute to providing tourism information and introducing visitors to the most important heritage sites, destinations, and different types of tourism that the Sultanate of Oman abounds in.

‘It will also respond to tourists’ inquiries and display the services provided by the tourism sector in terms of hotel facilities and organising institutions for tours and other services,’ it stated.

The move is part of the ministry’s comprehensive efforts to develop and revamp marketing plans and programmes aimed at promoting Oman’s tourism attractions through its local centres.

MHT remains optimistic about the recovery of Oman’s tourism sector as various indicators signal positive growth in the country’s travel and tourism industry.
