Muscat – The Food Safety & Quality Center (FSQC) has responded to concerns circulating about imported food products that do not conform to standard specifications (non-halal) on Wednesday.

In a statement issued by FSQC said, ‘The centre confirms that the products are thoroughly monitored, and inspected through laboratory analysis of consignments in order to ensure their safety and compliance with regulations and standard specifications.’

‘Products that do not conform to safety standards are rejected and prohibited from entering local markets,’ it added.
