Muscat – National Survey Authority (NSA), under the Ministry of Defence, has announced the launch of a state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). 

The UAV is expected to significantly improve NSA’s capabilities for survey and exploration operations.

The project aligns with NSA’s vision to keep pace with international advancements and changes in the geospatial field, enabling it to fulfil its national role effectively. 

This technological advancement reflects NSA’s commitment to bolster topographic surveys and manage geospatial data of the sultanate, ONA stated. 

The newly introduced UAV aims to provide precise aerial images quickly, ultimately delivering accurate and up-to-date information and data sources for various map updates. Furthermore, the device will facilitate aerial photography services for different sectors and offer timely imaging solutions during emergency situations.
