Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has urged all travellers to follow customs regulations while entering or leaving the Sultanate of Oman.
A statement issued by ROP said, ‘While entering or leaving the border points of Oman, the traveller or visitor must declare to ROP Customs if you are traveling with currencies (cash) exceeding RO6,000 or its equivalent, negotiable financial instruments to be exchanged – cheques, bonds, shares, and payment orders, precious metals like gold, diamonds, gemstones, etc.’
The rule applies to individuals, companies and institutions and non-declaration exposes to legal accountability, it stated.
