Cairo, Egypt – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdul Fattah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt held an official session of talks at Al Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo on Sunday evening.

At the outset of the session, the Egyptian President reiterated his heartfelt welcome to His Majesty the Sultan as a dear guest of Egypt and its people. He wished His Majesty the Sultan and his official delegation a happy stay.

On his turn, His Majesty the Sultan reciprocated the kind sentiments, thanking the president for the warm welcome and sincere hospitality.

The two leaders reviewed the distinguished relations and the deep-rooted historical bonds binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

They also explored various aspects of existing bilateral cooperation in several fields and contemplated ways of consolidating the joint interests in a manner that generates bounty and benefits to the two countries’ peoples.

His Majesty the Sultan and the Egyptian President also exchanged views on various developments at the regional and international arenas.
