Muscat – In a tense and close encounter with Bahrain, Oman edged out the defending champions 1-0 in the semi-final of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup held at Al Mina’a Olympic Stadium in Basra, Iraq, on Monday.
The Red Warriors will now be fighting for the title against Iraq on Thursday, who defeated Qatar in the other semi-final on Monday.
Oman’s only goal came in the 83rd minute from Jameel al Yahmadi.
