Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience to Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar, at Al Barakah Palace on Wednesday.

At the outset, His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the President of Zanzibar to the Sultanate of Oman.
The two leaders reviewed areas of cooperation between Oman and Zanzibar and efforts exerted to promote these in various spheres.

His Majesty the Sultan and Dr Mwinyi also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest, following which they held a closed-door meeting.
