Aalborg, Denmark – Royal Navy of Oman’s Shabab Oman II was awarded the prestigious Friendship Trophy at the closing festival of the Tall Ships Races 2022 in Aalborg, Denmark, on Friday.

The trophy is awarded to the vessel – based on the votes of all captains and ship crew – which has contributed the most to promoting international friendship and understanding during the Tall Ships Races.

The races this year saw the international fleet of Tall Ships and Small Ships return to the North Sea following visits to Esbjerg, Harlingen, Antwerp and Aalborg.
