Muscat – An expat died after he drowned in an underground water tank in North Sharqiyah, according to Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA).
In a statement, CDAA said its rescue teams in North Sharqiyah governorate responded to a report that an Asian drowned in an underground water tank in a farm in the Wilayat of Al Qabil. ‘The man was pulled out dead,’ CDAA statement added.
Meanwhile, the firefighting teams of the CDAA dealt with a fire which broke out in a house in Taqah in Dhofar Governorate.
‘The firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and rescued five people from the house and are in good health,’ CDAA statement said.
In another incident, CDAA extinguished a fire that broke out in residential apartment in South Sharqiyah. ‘The firefighting teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in the Governorate of South Sharqiyah dealt with a report of a fire that broke out in a residential apartment in the Souq area in Jalan Bani Bu Ali. The fire was extinguished without recording any injuries,’ CDAA said in a statement.
