Muscat – H E Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received in his office January Yusuf Makamba, Energy Minister of Tanzania, on Tuesday as part of the official visit of President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania to Oman.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, besides joint cooperation projects that the two sides are striving for in the energy sector.

The meeting was attended by Khalid Hashel al Muselhi, head of the Minister’s Office Department, Mulham Bashir al Jarf, acting deputy chairman of Oman Investment Authority, and officials from both sides.

In a separate meeting, H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, received Mabrouk Nasser Mabrouk, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of Tanzania.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the friendly countries and international and regional issues of common interest were reviewed.
