Muscat – An investment fund between Oman and Tanzania that will focus on several investment opportunities between the two countries was formed on Monday.
The deal for the same was inked under the auspices of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who is currently on a three-day official visit.
H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister said the establishment of an investment fund will focus on several sectors, including agriculture, fishing and mining.
Earlier on Monday morning, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held an official session of talks with President Samia. The talks explored the strong bilateral relations binding the two countries and ways of elevating them towards broader horizons to realise the aspirations of the Omani and Tanzanian peoples.
