Tropical cyclone Shaheen took two more lives, taking the total to three, after two people were trapped in their housing unit when a mountain collapsed on to the building.
‘Two Asian nationals were found dead under the rubble of their residence which was crushed by a mountain slide caused by the tropical cyclone Shaheen. The incident took place at Al Rusayl Industrial Area,’ reported the authorities.
On Sunday morning, the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) reported the first casualty of Shaheen when a child drifted in a pool of water and was later found dead in Amerat.
Another person is reported to be missing in Amerat. He was found drifting in his vehicle in a wadi.
