Registration for the eighth edition of the National Research Award, organised annually by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI), will close at 2pm on August 19.
The National Research Award is divided into two categories – Best published research led by a PhD holder or equivalent (senior specialist or higher in the medical field) and Best published research led by a young researcher (non-PhD holder).
The fields of research include Education and Human Resources; Information and Communication Technologies; Health and Social Services; Cultural, Social and Basic Sciences; Energy and Industry; and Environmental and Biological Resources.
Until Saturday, 143 applications had been received from the category of PhD holders or equivalent.
The National Research Award aims to encourage researchers to conduct high quality and relevant research in areas of national interest, and raise awareness on MoHERI and its initiatives and programmes to support research and innovation.
