After temporarily halting its 24-hour helpline number 9999 due to a technical snag, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said that it has resumed the service.

In a statement, ROP said, ‘We would like to inform you that the 24-hour call service at the Police Operations Centre has resumed and you can call on 9999. Thank you for your kind understanding.’

ROP had said it was stopping the emergency helpline service due to a technical issue on August 14 morning.
