Lastmile delivery is one of biggest challenges facing Oman’s e-commerce and delivery services. However, that obstacle can be a thing of the past with the launch of ‘Imdad’ – the logistic platform to optimise last mile deliveries across the sultanate. 

Oman Data Park (ODP), the cloud services and information technology managed services provider, in partnership with Mile Solutions has launched ‘Imdad’, which stands to become a major contributor to the rapidly expanding logistics sector with the massive economic and commercial growth in the sultanate.

The launch of the platform has been possible due to Oman Logistics Center’s national cloud-based technology initiative, Tawseel, which will enable logistics providers adopt the latest logistics solutions. 

Tawseel is designed to empower startups and SMEs in the last mile delivery space across the sultanate to operate more efficiently and lower their capital expenditure costs by outsourcing back-end IT systems to cloud service providers. E-commerce delivery Startups and SMEs can now leverage the advanced delivery technologies provided by Tawseel, while preserving data security and privacy by hosting the solutions locally in the sultanate. 

Enterprises such as restaurants, couriers, grocers, retailers and e-commerce companies in Oman will now be able to use the ‘Imdad’ logistic platform powered by Mile’s Delivery Management Solution to optimise their entire delivery operations including in-house and external fleets, stated a press release. 

The Imdad platform will not only help improve customer engagement but also help businesses achieve cost effective and timely deliveries. Imdad will help utilise and plan field operations effectively during peak hours and expand delivery coverage.
