Salman Stores players celebrate their title win at Al Hail Cricket Club ground

Salman Stores defeated  Renaissance in the final to claim the inaugural edition of the pink ball cricket tournament, which was organised by the Al Hail Cricket Club, at its ground in Ma’abela recently.

Brief scores:  Salman Stores 155 all out in 15 overs (Abdul Naveed 66) beat Renaissance 119 all out in 13 overs (Waruna 29).

Sohar girls beat ISC to enter semis

Debutant Sohar began its campaign in the Oman Cricket women's T20 knockout tournament with a win over fellow debutant, Indian Social Club (ISC), Muscat at the Al Amerat ground on Tuesday.

A total of five teams are participating in the tournament that concludes on April 30. It is the first time that a girls team from Sohar is competing in an OC tournament.

Sohar's victory also booked its spot in the semifinals where it will meet Indian School Muscat while Indian School Wadi Kabir will clash with Indian School Ghubra in the other semifinals.

Both the matches are scheduled on Thursday.

Brief scores: Sohar 172-3 in 20 overs (Anu Amal 49 n.o., Kavitha Soudatti 39) beat ISC 132-9 in 20 overs (Priya Qaudros 22, Trupti Pawde 22).
