Josef, Inger claim Oman ITF U18 Junior crowns

British boy Josef Dodridge, who entered the Grade 5 event of the Oman ITF U18 Junior (U18) tennis tournament's main draw as a qualifier, clinched the boys' singles title, while Inger van Dijkman of the Netherlands won the girls' singles crown at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on Saturday.

Josef edged out fellow qualifier Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands 6-7, 7-5, 6-3. The eighth-seeded Inger, meanwhile, thrashed qualifier Estee Widdershoven of Belgium 6-1, 6-1.

Mutassim al Zadjali, chairman of the Oman Tennis Association (OTA), gave away the prizes.
