Mercedes-Benz Oman celebrates Actros customers

Muscat -

In celebration of the Actros turning 20, Mercedes-Benz Oman went on a hunt for mileage millionaires across the country as part of the Actros Mileage Millionaire campaign launched in March of this year.

Three customers, Birba Marketing & Services Co, Dhofar Gas Filling Company and STRABAG Oman were selected to celebrate at a dinner hosted by Zawawi Trading Company as the highest mileage customers in Oman.

The attendees all received health checks for their Actros, a special Mercedes-Benz oil barrel and were entered into a draw run by Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA FZE to win a VIP trip to Germany and visit the birthplace of the iconic flagship truck in Woerth.

“I was delighted to host our loyal customers for such a special event and to hear first-hand how the reliability and robustness of our Actros trucks has served their businesses for so many years. Mercedes-Benz trucks are so much more than just a commercial vehicle to our customers, they are a key pillar to the sustainability of their operations,” said, Lawrence Good, Mercedes-Benz Oman CEO.

He added, “In today’s time-pressured and cost-conscious environment, our Actros customers are more aware than ever of the importance of consistent performance on the job. It has been a pleasure to share their experiences and most importantly I was very happy we could send one of them to Germany for the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Brand Experience.”

Dhofar Gas Filling Company was one of the winners selected for the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Brand Experience trip. Three lucky winners from MENA were flown to Germany to experience the birthplace of trucks in Woerth from April 24-27.

The winners were given a unique insight into the world of Mercedes-Benz and what goes on behind the scenes to create the brand and bring its unrivalled products to the market.

Azzan Ahmed al Shanfari, managing director of Dhofar Gas Filling Company represented the company in Germany where he enjoyed a diverse programme of activities including a unique interactive truck driving experience, saw first-hand the plant in Mannheim where Remanufactured Parts are produced and visited the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.

“This was really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us to see all the engineering and expertise that goes into our Actros trucks. For us, our trucks are a vital part of our business and we have relied on these vehicles day after day and have not been let down.
“I wish to thank Mercedes-Benz Oman for this opportunity and for their loyalty to their commercial vehicle customers and we hope to accumulate even more miles in the coming years,” Shanfari said.
