Media institute explores collaboration with MBC3

Muscat -

Al Funoon Institute for Media and Theatre Training (FIMTT) is holding discussions with the MBC3 television channel for collaboration and resource sharing in various areas. FIMTT chairman Dr Mohammed al Habsi said, “We plan to invite MBC3 channel anchor Azza Zarour to present some shows on one of the Omani TV channels.

We also hope to have MBC3 feature Omani children in its programmes and competitions. We are in discussions with officials from MBC3 after proposing the idea to Azza.” He added that joint programmes and events with MBC3 are also being discussed. Azza said in the past that the winners of a recent competition held in Oman could feature on shows on MBC3. “We have many different shows and most of them require a lot of participants.

After what I have seen at the competition, there are a lot of talented children in Oman who could be participants in our show,” she said on the sidelines of a TV and radio anchoring contest for children titled ‘Young Anchor’ earlier this month. Of her shows on MBC3, Azza said, “We are currently working on productions and shows for 2013. I have started working on the fifth season of the show Banat wa Bas (girls only) for 2013.
