Supported by the ministries of higher education, education (National Career Guidance Center) and the Ministry of Manpower, the event aims to be a platform for higher education institutions, training institutes and recruiting companies from around the globe to network with students and parents who are seeking options to study abroad and also job seekers in Oman, stated a press release.
The expo will offer an opportunity for higher education institutions and training providers to strengthen their position in the Oman market. The higher education pavilion will have institutions from Oman and other countries. There are 45 universities from the UK, 15 from the US, ten from Malaysia, four from Cyprus, two from Lebanon and universities from various other countries. The first two editions of EduTraC Oman were successful for both local and international organisations and they are really looking forward to the third edition.
Salim bin Omar bin Sulaiman al Hashmi, chairman of Al Nimr Expo (the organisers of the event) said, “EduTraC Oman is one of the sultanate’s most important higher education exhibitions to take place and it will nurture and improve the quality of workforce that will be running the country in the coming years.” The expo will be open for visitors from October 18–20 at OCEC from 10am–8pm.
