From June 16, the airline will launch its new daily and non-stop flights on this route, a press release stated. IndiGo will be offering an introductory all inclusive return fare of RO64.9 on the new daily flight. ‘The introduction of the daily service will further strengthen IndiGo’s presence in the Gulf, where it has emerged as one of the leading carriers, catering to a large number of non-resident Indians,' the release stated. “There are strong trade and tourism ties between Oman and India and travellers have requirements of low fares by an Indian airline.
We are absolutely delighted to announce the new daily and direct flight between Oman and India, and specifically, between Muscat and Mumbai. It is an indication of the strong demand on this sector.
IndiGo has established itself as a prestigious brand on account of the warmth of its service and quality of its in-flight product and we are confident that this daily service would also prove equally popular with our flyers. “With rising business and tourism stemming from the region, IndiGo is determined to provide the best travel experience to all those who wish to fly to India from Oman,” Aditya Ghosh, president, IndiGo, was quoted in the press release as saying.
Ghosh added, “It is our constant endeavour to provide more flexibility of choice for our customers as IndiGo continues to offer them on time, hassle-free and always affordable flying experience.
“We hope to provide the much needed avenue for countless travellers to explore wider horizons and at the same time open up the doors to more and more overseas travellers to experience both countries.”The new service from Mumbai will complement the airline’s existing daily Gulf operations to Muscat and Dubai from several cities in India. IndiGo presently operates over 17 flights between India and the Gulf.
