H E Dr Rawiyah visits Cambridge on anniversary of donors’ union

H E Dr Rawiyah bint Saud al Busaidiyah, Minister of Higher Education, visited the University of Cambridge in the UK following an official invitation to participate in the 20th anniversary of the university’s donors’ union.

The invitation came in recognition of the contributions of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the development of human knowledge by contributing to the establishment of two scientific chairs at the University of Cambridge. The first is the Sultan Qaboos bin Said Chair for Modern Arabic Studies, established in 2005, and the second is the Chair for the Abrahamic Religions and Common Values, established in 2011.

H E Dr Rawiyah also visited the Imperial College London to view the experiences in the field of innovation and employment of outputs in line with the labour market and the transformation of student initiatives and scientific projects into small and medium enterprises.

H E Dr Rawiyah was accompanied by Ibrahim bin Fayel al Sattmi, assistant director of the Coordination and Follow-up Department at the minister’s office.
