It will open under the patronage of H E Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, at Al Shafaq Club of the Sultan’s Armed Forces.
The three-day conference will be attended by more than 500 participants from inside and outside the sultanate, during which more than 25 papers will be presented.
Some of the themes that will be dwelt on include military and disaster medicine, mechanism and ways of handling emergencies, both military and natural disasters.
The aim of the conference is to prepare the medical staff in the Armed Forces Medical Services, the Ministry of Health,
Sultan Qaboos University and the ROP, to perform their duties, achieve the highest professional standards and provide optimal medical care. The conference is also part of Oman’s preparations for the Al Shomoukh-2 and Swift Sword-3 exercises scheduled for next month.
