Conference for GCC audit agencies on February 21

Muscat -

The Oman Corporate Governance Centre (OCGC) of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) will hold the sixth regional conference for GCC audit agencies on February 21. The conference will last for two days.

Organised in collaboration with Thomson Reuters Corporation, the conference is aimed at providing financial specialists in the sultanate and other Gulf countries with opportunities to discuss major economic issues related to governance and effective protection for financial markets.

The conference will provide decision makers with a chance to review the experiences of countries in governance, and risk and crisis management mechanisms. This will enable them to avoid economic crises.

OCGC seeks to highlight the latest developments and practical applications in the field of corporate governance. These conferences organised annually by the centre focus mainly on risk and crisis management.

Representatives from regional and international audit departments, as well as governance and compliance experts, will take part in the conference, which will target regulatory agencies, central banks, banks and board members of financial institutions, CEOs, bankers, directors for listed companies and lawyers.
