Middle East College aims at developing human resources

Middle East College is a visible expression of higher education in 21st century Oman. Its students are the flag-bearers of a country that aims to be at the cutting edge of technology in the Gulf region. The college currently has more than 4,000 students enroled, who are exposed to a gamut of experiences in education, educational standards, study skills, self-development and team effort together with industry readiness.

The college is in an environment where there are other academic institutions in close proximity facilitating interaction between academics and the student community. It recently inaugurated the First Microsoft IT Academy in Oman.

Middle East College’s students have the choice of working towards degrees in engineering, science and technology, communication and business management. The Middle East College alumni are well placed throughout the sultanate as well as some are pursuing further education at Middle East College and abroad.

The college aims at developing human resources, creating knowledge, and active community engagement for the immediate society and the world at large through enhanced student experience. The students are currently studying at the campus spread over 100,000sq m in a special technology park.

It has an academic block and facilities of international standards, with a modern library measuring 2,400sq m and in accordance to the best libraries worldwide. Coventry University awards the qualifications for the graduates of Middle East College.

In addition to that, Coventry University supervises the academic and educational quality systems implemented in the college. Middle East College has signed an agreement to be the first Microsoft IT Academy in Oman. Middle East College offers all Microsoft professional certifications, training and technical support.
