EMC records a moderate earthquake of 4.1 magnitude in Khasab

Khasab – Sultan Qaboos University Earthquake Monitoring Center (EMC) has registered a moderate earthquake measuring 4.1 magnitude on the Richter scale at 08:26 a.m.

The epicentre of the quake was located in Southern Iran, Hormozgan, approximately 116 km north-northwest of Khasab. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km. The event was recorded by Oman’s seismic monitoring stations.
