Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will embark on a state-visit to the Kingdom of Spain on Monday.

A statement was issued by the Diwan of Royal Court to this effect. It read as follows:

‘In response to an invitation received by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik from King Felipe VI of the Kingdom of Spain, His Majesty the Sultan will go for a state-visit to Spain from November 3 to 5, 2025.

‘The visit reflects the ties of friendship between Oman and Spain. It aims to meet the aspirations of the two countries.

‘During the visit, the two monarchs will explore areas of cooperation between the two countries in various spheres, and means of promoting these to serve joint interests. The visit will also address regional and international developments.’

His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation comprising H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Salim bin Nassir al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and Thamer bin Fayez al Alawi, Ambassador of Oman to Spain.
