Salalah – The Directorate General of Consumer Protection in Dhofar governorate has seized 406 used Omani kummas being sold as new in several commercial establishments in the Wilayat of Salalah.

The operation, carried out on 27 August 2025, was part of ongoing efforts by the Consumer Protection Authority to safeguard consumer rights and ensure market integrity. Judicial control officers inspected multiple outlets, where the used kummas were found on display and offered for sale as new products.

The authority confirmed that such practices violate consumer protection regulations and stressed the importance of strict market monitoring to prevent deceptive commercial activities.
