Muscat – Foreign Ministry has issued a formal statement expressing the nation’s sincere solidarity and deepest condolences to the government and the people of Philippines. This message of support follows a devastating earthquake that struck the southern region of the country, resulting in a number of casualties and injuries. The powerful earthquake registered a magnitude of 7.8 and was centred in the Mindanao region.

In its statement, the Ministry conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims who lost their lives in this tragic natural disaster. Furthermore, the Sultanate expressed its sincere wishes for the swift and full recovery of those who sustained injuries during the tremor.
