Muscat – The 11th session of the Omani-Kuwaiti Joint Committee was held in Jabal Akhdar, under the joint chairmanship of H E Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Foreign Minister of Kuwait. The session served as a platform to review the enduring fraternal relations between the two nations and to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in economic, commercial, cultural, and scientific sectors. Both ministers highlighted that the committee’s regular meetings reflect the commitment of their respective leaderships to institutionalise cooperation and achieve greater integration.

Reflecting on the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Oman and Kuwait, the ministers celebrated the historical bonds and shared visions that define their brotherhood. The discussions also extended to regional and international issues, with both sides emphasising the importance of diplomatic dialogue and coordination to address regional challenges and foster stability. Following the successful deliberations, the ministers signed the minutes of the 11th session, alongside two significant new agreements: a Memorandum of Understanding on cybersecurity and an executive programme regarding standardisation.
