Muscat – Danube Women defeated ISWK Women in the final to win the Oman Cricket Women’s League title.
ISWK Women posted a competitive 123/2 in their 20 overs, led by a superb 67 off 60 balls from Jayadhanyha Gunasekar. Pia Sharma made 17, while Suranjie Dias (1/24) and Merita Pinto (1/11) were among the wickets for Danube.
In response, Danube Women chased down the target in 18 overs, courtesy of a match-winning 70 off 59 balls from Priyanka Mendonca. She was well supported by Trupti Pawde’s 29 off 37.
Despite a disciplined effort with the ball from Jayadhanyha Gunasekar (1/18), Danube Women maintained control to secure a well-deserved title. Priyanka Mendonca was named Player of the Final. Nitya Joshi was awarded the Best Batter, Fiza Javed was named the Best Bowler, Disha Pradeep was the Best All-Rounder while Jayadhanyha Gunasekar was the Player of the Tournament.
In the Girls U19 League conducted by OC for the first time, Bousherian Blasters capped off an outstanding campaign by finishing at the top of the points table with four wins to be crowned the champions.
ISWK Women were the Runners-up with three wins out of four. The success of the tournament reflects the growing strength of the youth pathway in Oman, with several promising players making their mark and reinforcing the positive trajectory of girls’ cricket development in the country. Among the individual award winners, Eshal Siddiqui was named Best Batter, Khushi Muthukumari claimed the Best Bowler award, Katherine Binu was the Best All-Rounder, and Disha Pradeep continued her excellent run by being adjudged Player of the Tournament.
The presentation ceremony was graced by Alkesh Joshi, Treasurer, and Duleep Mendis, Chief Development Officer.
