Dima Wa Al Taien – The Environment Authority in North Sharqiyah has dispersed more than 1.5mn seeds of native Samar and Sidr trees across several locations in the wilayat of Dima Wa Al Taien as part of a campaign to enhance vegetation cover and combat desertification.

The initiative coincided with the recent rainfall season and wadi flows to improve germination rates and support natural growth in the arid environment.

Samar and Sidr trees are indigenous species known for their resilience and role in stabilising soil and supporting biodiversity. Expanding their presence contributes to habitat restoration and ecological balance.
