UAE – United States military has declined to provide a formal comment regarding allegations made by Iran concerning the use of United Arab Emirates territory for military operations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claimed that American forces launched attacks against Kharg and Abu Musa islands from two specific locations within the UAE, identifying Ras al-Khaimah and a site in close proximity to Dubai as the points of origin. Araghchi described the alleged military move as dangerous and indicated that while Iran would attempt to avoid targeting populated areas, the situation remained volatile.

The US Central Command has maintained a position of non-commentary on these specific claims as reported by the AP news agency. In response to the escalating rhetoric, a senior diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates stated on social media that while the nation possesses the inherent right to defend its sovereignty, it continues to prioritise reason and logic through the exercise of strategic restraint.

This development occurs against a backdrop of significant military activity, with Iran having launched hundreds of missiles and drones at neighbouring Gulf states over the past fortnight. Although Tehran maintains that its primary targets are United States military assets, reports have indicated that several strikes or attempts have impacted civilian infrastructure, including regional airports and vital oilfields.
