Muscat – Oman represented by the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority (SFAAA), formally observed International Anti-Corruption Day 2025 on Tuesday. The event was held under the banner, “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity,” building on previous campaigns to underscore the vital role of the younger generation.

The SFAAA emphasised the crucial importance of enhancing awareness among young people regarding the perils of corruption, noting that the authority is actively leveraging the youth’s capacity for innovation and constructive thinking to disseminate integrity values across society. The authority confirmed its long-standing commitment to combating corruption, citing the Sultanate’s adherence to the United Nations Convention against Corruption since 2013.

The SFAAA stated it is continually working with relevant departments to fulfil international requirements by adopting best practices and promoting integrity. This includes establishing an integrated system through updated legislation and the development of the National Integrity Plan, the implementation of which is currently being monitored in cooperation with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.
