Buraimi – Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) successfully seized a substantial quantity of non-compliant merchandise during intensive market inspections this week. The operation, executed by judicial enforcement officers, resulted in the confiscation of 107 boxes of “Faiza Beauty Cream,” a cosmetic product deemed to be in contravention of approved national standards and specifications.

This action constitutes a breach of the Sultanate’s Consumer Protection Law, specifically referencing Resolution No. 59/2019, which regulates product quality. The seizure underscores the CPA’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that goods circulating within the market adhere to statutory quality controls. Following the confiscation, the Authority confirmed that necessary legal proceedings have been initiated against the violating suppliers, with the contraband items being secured pending their eventual destruction.
