Muscat – H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, along with the members of the Council of Ministers, received at the Council’s building in Muscat on Tuesday Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council and members of the Council’s Office.

The meeting comes within the framework stipulated by the Council of Oman Law, aiming to enhance areas of continuous cooperation and coordination between the Council of Ministers, the Council of Oman, and all state institutions.

At the outset of the joint meeting, H H Sayyid Shihab praised the efforts exerted by the State Council in various aspects, and the views and proposals it presents, which are instrumental in advancing the national work towards further development and prosperity.

For their part, Sheikh Khalili and the members of the Council’s Office, appreciated the government’s continuous keenness to enhance constructive cooperation with the Council. They affirmed their persistent endeavour to present specialised studies, constructive proposals, and enhance joint coordination between the two councils in a manner that contributes to implementing developmental plans and programmes, keeps pace with the aspirations of the upcoming phase, and achieves the desired national objectives.

The meeting reviewed several topics aimed at unifying joint efforts, enhancing institutional partnership, and integration between state institutions to implement the general state policy, achieve the targets of the Eleventh Five-Year Development Plan (2026-2030), and preserve the extended achievements and gains across all parts of Oman, with the prime aim of serving the nation and its loyal citizens under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
